  • Is your school accredited?

    Yes, we are NAEYC accredited (National Association for Education of Young Children), and we are also members of NAES (National Association of Episcopal Schools).

  • What are your child to teacher ratios?

    Infants - 6 children to 2 caregivers

    1-year olds - 8 children to 2 caregivers

    2-year olds - 12 children to 2 caregivers

    3 to 4-year olds - 16 children to 2 caregivers

    4 to 5-year olds - 16 children to 2 caregivers

  • What is the school near?

    Close proximity to The University of Florida, Shands and downtown Gainesville.

  • What is your school term? When can I apply for my child?

    No school term. You can apply year-round.

  • What payment options do you offer for the application fee?

    Call us, stop in at the school, mail a check, pay online through registration form.

  • Do you provide consistency between home and school?

    Yes. We provide consistency between the school and home learning. Our teachers are willing to work with parents on an ongoing basis to make sure it is a positive learning environment for your child.

  • What age groups are served at your school?

    We care for children 6 weeks to 5 years. Each are separated in their own age appropriate classroom.

  • What type of security measures do you have in place at your school?

    All exterior doors are locked at all times.  We have a security card systems in place for approved family members to access the school.

  • What are your tuition rates?

    2024 tuition rates:

    Infants $1150/month

    Ones $1100/month

    Twos $1050/month

    Threes/Fours $870/month

    VPK Wrap Around 6:30 am - 6:00 pm $750/month

    VPK only 8a - 11a no cost with state voucher

    One Time Application Fee $300

  • What are the qualifications for your staff?

    Our staff are required to have their 45 hour childcare training certificate as required by the Department of Children and Families.


    Our teachers are supported in getting their Child Development Associate within their first year of full-time employment.


    All VPK teachers have their staff credential and meet the state requirements.

  • What days are you closed? Do I have to pay for the days you are closed?

    New Years Day, MLK Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday, Christmas week. We are also closed for one day for meet the teacher before the start of the school year and up to two staff develpment days per year to keep our teachers up to date on the latest early childhood education research.  


    Yes, you will pay for these days. It is part of the tutition.

  • Are vaccinations required for my child to attend HTES?

    Yes, we require children to be up to date on their vaccinations as required by the Department of Children of Families licensing.  They must have a valid date and it must be on the correct Florida immunication record form.  WE DO NOT ACCEPT RELIGIOUS EXEMPTIONS, however we do except medical exemptions with a passing school physical.
